Redstone Grill And Wine - Red Deer

This restaurant was absolutely a hidden gem. our experience was 5 stars from beginning to end. recommend this restaurant.

Worst meal I've had in a long time.....no taste, dry, and small over cooked portion of veggies. I ordered the steak and lobster, the lobster was TERRIBLE, it was so dry and tasteless I could barely swallow it, the steak was a 1/2' dry tasteless shoe bottom. The coconut prawns that we ordered for an appy tasted like deep fried grease. I booked on line and stated that it was our [38th] anniversary dinner, when I asked the server that things sure had changed [not for the better] and that there was usually a table cloth and proper linen, she said that they only put those out now for special occasions, WTF?....oh well. So for about 12 years now we have gone here for our anniversary supper but NEVER AGAIN. New ownership doesn't mean better, only thing that didn't change was the high prices and I have never minded paying more but not for the **** we were served.

A little disappointed in change of menu. We came for the curried mussels and found they were no longer on the menu. Hope you will put them back on as I wrote a review on Trip Advisor a few months ago about how good and unique these curried mussels were. No one else in Red deer does them that way.

Many of the things we wanted were not available, but the staff was excellent to find space. I had expected a somewhat more lively environment. my lamb was excellent! go back!

I had made a reservation for my friends birthday, requesting a private table. we sat in one, not exactly what I thought. the service was good, but eating was not what I expected from a restaurant that has as much hype about how good it is. we both had steak and praise. the steak was thin and rubbery and the lobster tasted freeze cabinet burned. overpriced for what they get. not impressed and would not recommend it.
