Small but impressive Impressionist Exhibition "From Poussin to Monet" (till 6Sep/15). Great restored rail station building. The adjacent restaurant is an architectural gem, but we just thoroughly enjoyed a coffee and can't comment on the food served. A very good address for a day out! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Rhein Festlich F & B:
The atmosphere and setting is superb but the food does not match. We had the lunch menu, the salad was good but the main course was a very mediocre chicken casserole. The desert was billed as a trifle but would not pass muster in our...house. A high price to pay for the view and furnishings. View all feedback.
A very pleasant lunch, sitting on the balcony of this former railway station overlooking the Rhein; my trout was well prepared and tasty and my partner's rare roastbeef was sublime, all washed down with a superb Riesling from their wine list. As an end to...a visit to an excellent exhibition within the Arp Museum, it was perfect!

If you want to experience an uncommon Germany, you have to visit Bad Honnef. If you visit Bad Honnef, you have to go to this terrace, because it's such a magnificent place to be. An mazing view on Rhein river and mountains and a glass...of white wine at Interior terrace makes you feel alive. And it's such a nice view and feeling, even small unpleasant errors of the staff won't annoy or upset you. For example, bringing an olive oil with a spider inside and not apologizing for that when you mention it. And the toilets are a must-see. Not for their cleanliness (they are not), but because of their artistic creativity.

Enjoyed an amazing Sunday lunch on the terrific outdoor terrace after a visit to the Arp Museum next door (another highly recommended destination). Knowledgable staff, friendly proprietor, a great wine list and a seasonal menu that's innovative yet traditionally German. Stunning interiors and private dining...room that make me want to return just to sit under the glamorous chandeliers.
