This restaurant offers authentic Japanese tonkatsu meals at a reasonable price. The fried garnels are delicious and the combo meal is worth trying. They also sell ready-to-go Katsu sandwich packs for a quick snack. However, there are no vegetarian options available and the dining area can get crowded. The parking lot can be very busy on weekends. Please note that this review is based on the experience of a meat-eatin... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Saboten Aberdeen:
If I could give less than one star, I would give this place a zero. The curry don was disappointing with damaged ingredients, and the reviews mentioning authenticity and deliciousness are likely fake and paid for. The words I would use to describe this meal are "disappointment" and "never again." View all feedback.
Disappointed I couldn't give less staring. terrible customer service, eating was mediocre. lady who helped me, had a terrible attitude and cut me in the middle of order and ignored me when I asked for my reception. When my commanded, I asked her if she had a double scare that belonged to me, and she gave me a dirty star and sung with her kink that it was. my reception said her name was winnie. do not recommend.
I do not recommend this place to anyone who is seeking for a pleasant food ordering experience. The cashier has attitude problem. She even refused to provide extra disposable plate for my kids to share food. Also, has anyone seen a take out place prompting for a tip on the card machine? This place does.
I came to this place today to have lunch. I should have read the reviews before. It was the most disgusting Katsu Don I ever had. The pork was all soggy and some pieces were full of fat pieces. There was also no egg. Only parts of what is supposed to be an egg. Total rip off. I ended up eating only the rice and the Miso soup it came with. Went to the lady behind the counter and told her the pork was not good. It was all soggy. I guess they reheated the meat in the microwave. She was very unfriendly, didn’t apologize and said it is supposed to be like this. I ate at this place 2 years ago, and it was nothing like that. Plus it’s not the first time I eat Katsu Don. I showed her the meat and the bad quality was obvious, she still denied and said it’s supposed to be all soggy. Well, if you like to spend money for unfriendly customer service and microwave like food, that’s the place. Others, I recommend to stay away and spend your hard earned money elsewhere.
I visited their shop at Shinjiku, Tokyo and then Hong Kong before this one at Richmond. Needless to say, their food items are of high standard. I will give them 4 stars if, instead of a food court, I was to eat at an individual restaurant.
NOT recommend this shop unless you want to the worst customer service. The cashier lady try to ignore questions. Bad manner on answering questions. No sign on which order is ready for pickup and she is angry when asking whether order is available.
