I arrived on opening day with my taste buds set on a donut...but they'd actually sold out for the day! When I walked in the pastry chef greeted me right away. Both he and the cashier were very hospitable. I ended up ordering a slice of Thalhiemer cake. It's a pretty big slice (enough for two people) and was moist and delicious. Sweet but not too sweet.
