This is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant. The pho is great, as well as the spring rolls and every dish I have tried. My favorite is V8, a rice vermicelli with a combination of grilled meats and a crispy spring roll with some veggies and added fish sauce. My girlfriend and I had our first date there. What Meagan Gleichner doesn't like about Vietnam 1:
they came here to come back all the time when she was farther to the west. eating is just not as good as before. the prices continue to rise, and the portions shrink. that combined with the quality drop leads to a rather bad experience. View all feedback.
Delicious. we went to vietnam 1 for lunch today and it was excellent. we have the memories of a Vietnamese restaurant in arlington, va, which is now gone, and we have been looking for its equality. vietnam 1 is at least the same. I had bbq swarm with reis vermicelli. my man had mi xao don (with tofu.) really delicious. the service was a little slow, but it is worth waiting. we had also eaten Vietnamese coffee.
Perhaps the best in richmond! we went to vietnam 1 for lunch and were immediately met by how great eating smelled from the moment we went in the door. we ordered pho ga and the Vietnamese curry with tofu and vegetables. the pho was the best I ever had. the broth had a delicate taste and the crushed chicken was excellent. the curry sauce was delicious total midday bill was under twenty dollars. we're gonna...often!
Dear vietnam 1. Yes, it is lacking in the atmosphere, but it has the best eating, I have tried all other local Vietnamese options and that is still my absolute favorit. the ice-cream rocks! dear V8 it is my favorite!
Best rva vietnamese. this place is my personal favorite vetnamese. some friends accuse of having sticky tables or being too loud and crowded, but let us face it, there is a reason why it is always packed: it is great vietnamese loaded in a corridor with Vietnamese restaurants. stop them at the tan a Asian market next door when they are finished when they sit next to the door in winter, wait for a better table, they are frozen every time when someone comes and helpful keeps the door wide open for their friends for 5 minutes.
As good as in Northern VA. Stopped by for lunch during the week. Place was packed with non Asian clientele looking for a quick non fatting lunch dish. I ordered my usual which is Pho (Northern Vietnamese soup) with sliced round steak which they slice very thin and let it cook in the soup. All the dishes came quickly to the others as well as me by pleasant servers. You pay at the cash register. If you don't know how to eat Vietnamese just sit and observe. You have to love the Pho which is a deep beef broth with vermicelli rice noodles and light fresh greens. I put on a lot of the spices that are available at the table. Next time I must try their Spring Rolls.
