What User likes about Shanghai Dim Sum:
Heavily promoted soup dumplings at 4 for $0.99 were juicy and hot, not bad but they lacked the complex and satisfying blend of flavors of better dumpling restaurants like Din Tai Fung or 3-6-9. Other menu items are inexpensive but vary in quality. Duck was overpowered by sweetness, ribs had an imbalance of vinegar, but some other dishes were pretty good. Service was typically impersonal. Went for lunch and there were line ups at the door. But the service was very fast and the flow was not too backed up. Tried the raved about dumplings and they were okay but not spectacular. The wrapping was thin and there was soup inside but taste was nothing memorable. Also tried the green onion pancake which was very filling. The noodle in peanut paste had way too much peanut butter.
