"In the hour we sat in the restaurant, we saw only four people served food. We ended up canceling our order and leaving, hungry and frustrated, to continue our bike ride. There were harried-looking people in the kitchen and harried-looking wait-staff walking back and forth, occasionally carrying drinks. This was at 2-3 pm on a Wednesday, and there were three in our party. It would probably be worse on a weekend, although I can't imagine how. We ordered salads and chili, none of which, presumably, needed to be made from scratch. Avoid this place at all costs if you are in a hurry."

"This Auberge is also a restaurant open to the public. We were here on a Sunday evening cycling the P'tit Du Nord Trail and were really impressed by the quality of the meal we were served. There were also local people here as... good. It was a nice meal served in a personalized way. The Amuse Bouche was a rabbit liver mousse I wish I had ordered more. The appetizers were home smoked duck breast with a salad and trout engraving. Our main courses were a wild boar and another piece of locally grated pigs and pigs. Both dishes were served with a wonderful sauce and a variety of fresh vegetables. The wildcatcher was very tender. The really impressive part of our meal was the variety of vegetables served with each dish and the portions were plentiful. An intermesso was also included. For dessert we had a brownie with a kind of vanilla mousse and the best cream we ever had. I sung in many restaurants, including France, and that was right up there. My only criticism is that there was only one way to order a glass of red wine, and that was a California zin that was very average."

"The hotel is old. It has a lot of history. Some of the rooms have been renovated, but not all the rooms, certainly not the one we stayed in. The beds were advertised as two queen beds with a lake view. When in reality we got 2 double beds with a corner view of the lake but with mostly trees blocking our view. This is a place you don't go soley for the rooms or food. You go for the scenery and the beautiful lake views. There are georgeous views of the lake and the whole area on the terasse in the back. There is a dock right at the hotel but it's just for docking boats. The hotel needs a LOT of love but has so much potential. We rented two kayaks for the day and took them out and around the lakes. The only thing we didn't like was that we had to clean out all the spiders in them and and take them out of storage ourselves. Aside from that it, was a pleasant stay. The owner Yvonne is very friendly and was happy to help us when we had any questions or suggestions. They offer breakfast for $12.50/person and it's not bad at all. Still, over priced compared the breakfast restaurants in town. The restaurants in town are decent for fine dining, only 5 mins drive from the hotel and surprisingly a lot of the hotel and restaurant staff are bliningual, which was a pleasant surprise."
