"3 1/2 stars for my first time there. I was there the only patron. probably because it was before isha (last time) and then the buffet is served. had the chapli khabab and chicken kharai. the kharai was a bit too much on the vinegar side for my taste. it was okay. I will go back to try the buffet and other dishes. I hope there's a 5-star rating. the potential is there. two months since my last review above. I don't know why others judge this place badly, but for me, it was the opposite. I had lunch last night. Three times here. it was excellent! the waiter recommended the mutton masala. it was masalaaaaah! omglicious! also the mixed grill. it was cooked to perfection. not over cooked like many other places in the city. very delicate. even the naanbrot was great. only the right sharp outside and soft center. you have to go. I hear they have an all-you-can-eat buffet on thurs and Friday nights. this will be my next visit! can't wait. my mouth is watering this critique."

"Golden Saj is one of the oldest shawerma places in Riyadh (started next to the TV station). There are many Shawerma places out there, the key is in the garlic sauce. Every place has their own recipe, the one here is amazing. And not many places offer cheese with your Shawerma, so give that a try. They have cheese sauce or cheese slides, you choose. This place is AS EQUAL as Mama noura and there’s a secret story behind that, which I’ll keep to myself ."
