I was Traveling from NY to Florida and spent the night in Roanoke Rapids. Was looking for a place for dinner and preferably not a chain restaurant. Haggerty caught my eye. Great choice. I had a musroom cheeseburger that I would say was one of the best burgers I've ever had. Paired it with a baked potato that also was perfectly cooked. Reasonable prices. Would have liked if they had draft beer though. View all feedback.

The owner/manager is extremely rude and has terrible customer service. They refused to accept a takeout order, even though I was willing to support a local business and not go to a chain restaurant. This is the only restaurant in the area that I am aware of that won't serve takeout to customers who prefer not to dine in due to COVID-19. Saturday March 18 at 6 pm we went without reservations and were promptly seated on the wonderful patio with heatersand lights we did not need because it was a warm evening. We enjoyed the sunset and were quickly met by our our waitresses server who was very friendly and knowledgeable about the offerings that night. Actually we had lunch inside on March 14 and the service and experience were still top notch. We will be back!
My husband is I first time visiting. Food was really great. The sweet tea was on point. We had the dinner for 2. The steak was cooked perfect.
Haggerty?s is a welcome reprieve from the road and is a shining star in the midst of chain restaurants and big name fast food. Barbra, our waitress, showed us so much warm hospitality and took the time to make sure my wife and I were completely satisfied. She was so charming and warm and made us feel at home. From a food perspective, both my wife and I had the burger (she had the single patty and I had the double) with sweet potato fries and I had a baked potato as my side. We split Haggerty?s loaded fries as an appetizer with a couple pepsis and a water. We were traveling through Roanoke Rapids and prefer to enjoy local business instead of chains and Haggerty?s is it!
This place has excellent food. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the dill sauce was great. The waiter was delightful and very attentive. It struck me as a locals favorite restaurant. Highly recommend! Wings are great also!
Second time dining in. Ordered the 20 oz. Steak Dinner for Two. It did not disappoint! Scallops are good portions and flavor. Proud to have a local steakhouse that can outdo most!
