Service is always friendly and helpful. I had the tuna salad several times. It's great.

"Friendly staff and fresh tasting food however, the bagels do not taste like bagels. I am ever on the hunt for bagels that are remotely similar to those of NJ/NY. Sadly, this place misses the mark (as most in the DMV do). I'm sure other food here tastes great, but if you know what bagels are supposed to taste like, do not come for the bagels."

"I have mixed feelings about this place. Some of the food is amazing. Some is just blah. Often the service is polished and wonderful. Sometimes the service misses. Shortly after being seated, you are served bread. The bread is house made and includes a delicious Alsatian cottage cheese. This is great on the garlic bread. The bread also comes with butter ice cold and rock hard butter. What restaurant of this caliber serves cold butter? Why do they hate their diners so much? When it comes to appetizers, my favorites have been the Roquefort tart and the beef cheeks. The beef cheeks are served in an adorable mini le Creuset pot, making them all the more charming. The escargots are not worth the price. The sauce is garlicky and flavorful, but the snails themselves have no flavor. The boudin blanc is tasty, but a very small portion. Order your entrees carefully. Stick to French classics, or you'll likely be disappointed. The bouillabais and the beef Borgounion were both heavenly. We cleaned the plates with our bread. The halibut was a disappointment. A parietal crust is too heavy for the flavor of halibut. And it was drowned in beurre blanc sauce. The vegetables on the side were fresh, but could have used more seasoning and perhaps some herbs. If you like soufflé, they are absolutely worth the extra cost. So few restaurants serve soufflé these days, and these are done to perfection. Light as a feather and full of flavor, these are what soufflés should be. The remaining desserts are mixed. The kugelhopf is the best of the ones I've had, and I would order it again. The creme brulée tasted of burnt sugar rather than caramel. And the chocolate tart was a big disappointment. The filling was very cake-like. I was expecting a fudge-like filling. And it had no flavor of chocolate. The best thing about it was the vanilla ice cream that came with it. I could forgive many of these flaws at half the price. But at the prices here, I expect perfection. Cold butter! I just can't believe that any self-respecting restaurant would serve that."
