"Loved the atmosphere of this tiny powerhouse. I ordered a juice off of the menu and the owner was happy to modify the ingredients to meet my dietary needs. As someone who cares about the planet, I was also delighted to have the juice served in a glass mason jar, with the option to return it to receive back a deposit. Just a couple of small but important details that would make this fussy customer look forward to her next visit!"

"We were told that this place had the best selection in town. This sparked our interest, since my girlfriend is a vegetarian. We figured we 'd give it a try. I 've had many meals in rural Newfoundland restaurants. Generally, you can expect a bleak atmosphere and a limited menu. But, the quality, price point, and service makes the experience enjoyable. This was an exception. This is more of a dive than any other place I 've been to. You 're greeted by black flies and a dirty porch. The wait staff attempts to discreetly complain about the new customers only an hour before closing (it was 7pm, I should add). The menu is nothing close to what we expected, as there was only a couple of things on the menu without meat. Of course, there is even less selection once they tell you about all the things they 've run out of. I decided on deep fried cod a favourite of mine. It 's a failsafe, assuming the fish is fresh. Of course, the waitress had no idea where it came from but thinks it 's not too old. I took a chance on it. Big mistake. The batter was burnt, and the fish was lacking all flavour. In fact, the only bit that had flavour tasted as if it had gone bad. I left most of it on my plate. After being informed of what food they had run out of, my girlfriend was left with only sandwich options. She accepted one, and added a side of fries. Her sandwich came long before my meal, they forgot about the fries entirely. My cold fish got significantly colder as we waited for cutlery and condiments. We got sick of waiting for someone to come out and check on us, so we went to the kitchen ourselves. I 'm a beer drinker. I drink lots of beer. I ordered one of my favourites. It came in a glass, warm and miscoloured. If it was in fact the correct beer, it was watered down. Skip this place. Anywhere but here."

"Wonderful food. Stopped here for some treats to take on a hike and they were so good. Had the cinnamon roll and date square. So so good. We missed the hours to have a meal here but will definitely be back. Great menu of choices."
