The dining experience here is outstanding. While the vegan options are somewhat limited, there are plenty of vegetarian dishes available, and many can easily be adjusted to be vegan. For vegetarians, there’s more than enough variety to choose from. I've dined here a dozen times, and each visit has been excellent. The Tofu shell is fantastic, and I also love the Quinoa salad. what is going on guys? $18 for a cheese burger and then you are charging another $7 for so-so fries?? talk about gouging. we love this place but that is more than a tad outrageous. we may not come again. be careful guys, you are playing with fire. If I could give a non-vegetarian restaurant 5 stars, I would. I appreciate their options in a community that likely would not sustain a vegetarian restaurant. We had lunch at Roots today. My husband ordered the black bean sandwich (comes with cheddar cheese which could be removed) and I ordered the tofu sandwich (which comes with aioli which can be removed substituted). The staff was very courteous and accommodated our requests for changes even suggesting some substitutions. Both meals were very tasty. My husband ordered fries as a side and I ordered a quinoa salad which was amazing! The atmosphere was conducive to conversation and table sizes not cramped. Our meals cost $25.
I really enjoyed Roots, but they only had a couple of vegan options. I had a Tofu dish that had Vermont Tofu, cabbage, carrots, onion, rice noodle and local greens with a soy ginger sauce. I added some hot sauce and loved it. I would definitely go back.
The outdoor tables overlooking the park are a great spot for a date night dinner. The waiter knew how to make apppetizers vegan the tofu entree was perfect as-is. Exactly the meal we were looking for
I knew before we went to Roots that there wasn’t much in the way of options to choose from but what they did offer sounded perfect. We were not disappointed! We started with crispy fried Brussel sprouts in a sweet chili sauce and followed it up with the main entree Tofu fried over jasmine rice with a curry broth. The presentation was beautiful with the tofu sandwiches between slices of Watermelon Radish. The meal was delicious and looked special in a very cozy location.
Friendly service and good food. Great atmosphere. A little hard to find at first because the restaurant sits back behind the shriners building.
