O’makila - Saint-Jean-de-Luz

In the turn of an aisle, we discovered by chance this address. it was a nice surprise with very well cooked dishes, all with very correct prices. the frame and the decor are a little atypical. Welcome is beautiful. Attention, it is noted on the showcase that the restaurant will be transferred outside of St jean de luz of March 26, 2022.

This restaurant in a small street close to the main square is a real wonder. The kitchen is excellent with fresh and local products. Great value for money. I strongly advise.

We went there the evening of Thursday 26 August 2021, and what to say. At the beginning we have a bit of heart passing in front of this restaurant in the middle of the evening. And by what to start... The service was extremely warm, the servers are very pleasant and friendly. Although we arrived in almost the end of service. We are placed on the terrace and this one is very picturesque. We take an aperitif, the waiter recommends a wine named Love Room that we don’t know and it was excellent, accompanied by Tenders home, and this first part was a treat. Then we go with the suggestions of the day, a bar net and a salmon piece, deposited on a bed of zucchini and followed by a homemade carrot purée. Excellent, nothing to say except that, in our view, there was little seasoning. During our meal, we are obliged to discuss with the manager of the places with whom we take a real pleasure in conversing, this man tells us his journey which was my faith, very interesting. At the same time, we come to dessert: a delicious chocolate marrow accompanied by a Pistache ice ball. I didn’t necessarily follow a fan of the pistachio, I liked this mixture very much. Excellent evening, I will return to it as soon as I return to the area. Address to be noted in his notebook, and I recommend the eyes closed.

Passing to St Jean and not having too much time we stopped from this little restaurant. Well, the surprise was very good. The parsillad knives were very good and the generous and melted chicken nuggets. The main dishes were just as rich and well cooked (gambas and tartare). Small, uncomfortable flat, small shoots (I don't know what it is) found in the entrance and flat, were a little too many. It's not bad but strong. It is very simple to put them aside. Desserts not tested because not time and especially we had really no hunger so much the dishes are well served.
