When visiting Montreal if you have the time to get out of town don't be shy of looking up things to do out of town a little bit. What Gil L doesn't like about Auberge Handfield:
Auberge Handfield has a strong reputation but our recent experience at their $60 per person brunch was disappointing. It took 20 minutes to get a menu, 30 minutes for cream for our coffee, and they didn't have decaf. The food took a long time to arrive, with my wife still waiting after an hour. We decided to leave and speak to management, who blamed their short-staffing. This lack of organization is unacceptable. If they knew they couldn't meet their usual standards, they should warn customers or offer compensation. Unfortunately, this did not happen until we complained. In order to maintain their reputation, Handfield management should inform customers in advance and provide some form of compensation to avoid complaints and lost patrons.
We have been searching for safe places to relax and enjoy a break. These days, a good outdoor seating area is a blessing. The Auberge was a fantastic discovery, with its terrace overlooking the river on a sunny Saturday afternoon. The table was great, the staff was friendly, and the draft beer was good. The easy snack food made for a perfect outing. Thank you for a delightful escape from the Covid pandemic.
When planning a large family reunion with 60 people or more, the pressure is on to find a location that will satisfy everyone. Cabane a sucre Handfield and their staff exceed expectations to ensure customer satisfaction is top priority. Manon, from the moment of arrival to departure, efficiently handled any challenges that arose from organizing a large group, creating an unforgettable event. The traditional Cabane a sucre meal is served, along with vegan and gluten-free options that are fun and delicious. Those with Celiac disease will appreciate this. Accommodations at Auberge Handfield were praised by family members who stayed there. The location of Cabane a sucre Handfield, nestled in a wooded area, adds to its traditional charm and caters to guests of all ages. Special thanks to Louis-Robert Handfield for making us feel like valued guests. Thank you Cabane Handfield, we look forward to returning next year!
