"Booked for midweek lunch in August, just as well, we would have been disappointed if we had just turned up expecting a table. A busy lunch service did not seem to affect quality or standard of service both were very good. There are a variety of set menus from £20 to £50pp. We tried the £40 as a treat and it was, fabulous quality and presentation which looking the meals other diners had did not appear to vary depending on menu. A super place for a reasonable priced lunch (even with the currently poor exchange rate) or a treat depending on what you fancy. Other than the Abbey itself there in nothing within walk-in distance as the actual village is a couple of miles further along a narrow road."

"Nice little Bistro/Creperie opposite the church with the parachute on its spire. The service was efficient and friendly, with a smile. My crepe was cooked perfectly. It was nice to revisit Bistrot 44 and find the staff are still friendly and efficient. The Crepe Citron miel was delicious. The Petit Latte was nicely presented on a wooden platter with sucre and a nice little cookie"
