La Saltimbocca from Saintes Menu

We were recommended to La Saltimbocca and went twice whilst in Saintes. The food was simple ,but the sauces delicious. The Deserts , brilliant. The service and welcome was excellent. Was really impressed when i asked for a dish and was recommended that it was...not a dish we serve to foreigners. The restaurant also offers the possibility to sit outside and eat and drink in nice weather.

What User doesn't like about La Saltimbocca:
My wife and I stopped here for dinner one evening and we each had the rognon de veau (sour kidneys) which were okay but not great. We were the only ones in restaurant and the owners hovered over us, presumably to provide the best service possible, but it felt a bit intrusive. There are clearly better alternatives in Saintes. read more.
