"We were staying in the neighborhood and the convenience seduced us to try this restaurant. We were not disappointed. Fairly priced and nicely prepared our dinner was more than acceptable. A modern , casual interior with traditional fare with an attentive patron was joined by a non pretentious service. The entrée of escargots gratiné was tasty as was the main dish salad perigourdine. My dessert sabayon with fruit was a highlight. I would definitely reccommend a visit here."

"Small bar/restaurant near the sncf train station. salads or small, simple and cheap dishes can be eaten, which compensates for the absence of a buffet in the station. The boss is in little care with his clientele. The meat is of exceptional quality because it is supplied to a small butcher from the corner as well. It is true that fries are frozen (like many restaurants) and desserts are prepared in advance. But frankly it's much better than a mc do. It can also make you a nice-sized take-away sandwich. the only negative point is the decoration of the establishment which is really simple and closer to the bar than to the restaurant. If you need to eat before taking your train or if you're between two train, I'll recommend this little establishment. I'm going regularly and I'm never disappointed!"

"We visited here as a family of 4. the waitress was militant and did not try to understand our order – despite the order in French and the menu options. drinks have not arrived. brot came after the main course was served as the...kill- nb it was not a busy restaurant. the food quality was as disappointing – not safe as they reached the alleged prices that decorate their front window."

"Despite the smiling and pleasant waitresses, we will not forget the mediocre quality of the dishes, potato too terracotta and not tasteful. The unpleasant boss allows himself to make up for his employees in front of the clientele, which is for me a lack of respect for his clients and his employees. We won't be back."

"I have eaten here numerous times over the last year or so. The service is always friendly and cheerful. I have never been disappointed with the food, and sometimes eaten dishes which would have graced much more expensive restaurants. Overall excellent value for money. One...of my favourite haunts in Saintes."

"We dropped on here by chance on a lunchtime walk up. Situated slightly outside the city centre, close by the river and a convenient car park, it 's a respite from the hustle of the city. The menu and the restaurant looked attractive, and you can dine...outside. The food was excellent entrées of cauliflower velouté and a fantastic beef cheek with foie gras; mains of mackerel and confit chicken both perfectly cooked and packed with hidden delights and flavours; I finished with a 'Bounty style dessert ' which was actually deliciously toasted coconut topped with dark, dark chocolate. Excellent value at 20€/23€ for either two or three course lunch menu. Accompanied with a glass each of Charentais wine (notably an interesting house Colombard) and coffees, the bill came to just over 60€. Chef Michael and his staff are very friendly, and present a quality that tells of his experience in high end kitchens. Excellent food at a great price, served in pleasant surroundings. Can 't wait to return. Absolutely recommended"

"Reception and service both discreet and user-friendly. pleasant terrace. a restricted card, but which is justified by fresh products. very good quality of the proposed dishes (even if exoticism could be a little more pronounced). I loved this scented blueberry rag (?) very good value for money. for info, have on the dej checks and loyalty card with a free entry for theme nights. parking nearby. Hopefully his decent situation will not harm him."
