Contribute FeedbackMathilda is a charming French restaurant in San Francisco that offers excellent service. While some dishes received mixed reviews, such as the ribeye special and over-salted bone marrow, other items like the scallop special and coq au vin were praised for their delicious flavors. The restaurant's ambiance is cozy and authentic, with a lovely back patio for a tranquil dining experience. Despite some inconsistencies in menu items and service, Mathilda remains a favorite for many patrons, with consistent quality in food and friendly service. The restaurant also offers a great value during restaurant week, with options like a 3-course meal with steak starter for $30. Overall, Mathilda is a delightful bistro in SOMA that captures the essence of southwest French cuisine and provides a memorable dining experience for its customers.
Excellent, service eating wine. one of the best dinners I have experienced in sf. will return and recommend.
Delicious food, good wine menu. the only fight was the service.
We took our daughter there to celebrate her day, we were originally booked for standard reservation, but when our daughter came there and saw how sweet the outside seats were and asked if we could switch on terrace seats; the staff was very courteous and we could sit in the terrace. the steaks fries were boiled for perfection and the duck jams and kartoffels were so delicious. we would highly recommend to try friends and family this place. many thanks for a beautiful experience.
