While the drinks are pricey and the rooftop pool area can be crowded, the service stands out positively. The food quality varies, with some dishes being enjoyable and others falling short. Although the overall dining experience may not be stellar, the location within the Solamar Hotel in downtown San Diego provides a trendy spot for food and drinks with a view. Despite mixed reviews from patrons, the venue offers a convenient and appealing setting for a night out.
Very impressed with this hidden gem! The Grand Cabana was perfect for my birthday Kristin was over the top helpful with the reservation start to finish and the hotel was extremely helpful accommodating my friend on crutches. The entire rooftop is gorgeous and it felt like the whole staff was at our service. Food was fantastic and everyone had a great time. Will be back!!! Navy Veteran Approved
Very cool place to lounge at the pool and get drinks. In the heart of downtown San Diego with views of the city. Following social distancing and Covid procedures.
Cool place to grab a drink or dinner, inside the Solamar Hotel in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter. The bar actually just opened up after a long closure due to COVID and related issues. Great timing for us as the food was fantastic! The hummus plate was very good, and the guacamole appetizer was delicious. My wife loved her street tacos as well. And the margarita was tasty...all discounted during Happy Hour too!
This is an amazing place. The view are breathtaking. The pool is so warm and inviting. The service was excellent. Perfect venue to spend the day felt like a resort or Vegas. I will definitely be back.
Went there early for the Sweden/England game. Busy. Good thing. Staff was friendly and very attentive even with it being so busy. Very cool and relaxing feel. Got coffee and $5 Tullamore Dews. And the Atlantic Jag for breakfast. Subbed the hash browns for tater tots. Under $9 breakfast in SD. Good deal. It was plenty. Couldn't eat it all. Def recommend going to watch a game or just stopping in for a food/drinks. Wasn't able to be there for taco Tuesday but they have a great deal. They're also the oldest tavern in SD.
