What Brian likes about Sushi Koya:
Great place to get sushi in San Jose! I ordered sashimi and the fish is fresh like and flavorful. Pretty pricey but worth it. Place gets packed real quick so get there early or you'll be waiting. I'd definitely would go back for more!Parking: Parking spots are pretty small and limited View all feedback.

What Sean Rossiter doesn't like about Sushi Koya:
This used to be my go-to spot but unfortunately the quality has decreased significantly. My latest takeout order had paper thin cuts of fish, and sushi rolls comprised of 80% rice, and rotten and over-ripened avocado. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 1 Service: 3 View all feedback.

"This restaurant that has a homey and none pretentious attitude. The food is served hot, with good depth of flavor and texture. I had the Vietnamese beef stew and spring rolls both top notch. The owner Mary kindly saw high to customers and checks to see people are happy with their food. The thankfully is MSG free thankfully, as I am sensitive and get headaches. I did not experience and after eating here. Only side-effect was a full belly and happy heart.Interestingly the music and hanging art are mostly creations of the owners son as well. Definitely stop and try the Pho, Beef stew and spring rolls."
