Marulier is a delightful surprise and a wonderful addition to Plaza la Luciérnaga. It started as a bakery but has expanded into a full on breakfast and lunch restaurant with excellent prices. The bakery is superb. I really enjoyed the cheese and tomato pizza although next time I will ask to have it cooked a little longer for a crispy crust. View all feedback.
What Katy Delaplace doesn't like about Marulier:
I used to come here a lot and always liked the food. Wish I could say the same now. I debated between a 2 and 3 because the server was very attentive. And I assume their bakery is still good, but I didn’t try it today. The fruit plate accompanying the breakfast used to be generous and varied. This place overcome all my expectations!! Food was very tasty!! Lovely place and such good ambience!! Very attentive service !! We love this place and we will highly recommend!!
We were invited to meet friends here for breakfast, we heard it was good. The food was served hot and very tasty. I’ve been looking for a good cup of earl grey tea, this place scored high. But the food as good as it was the service lacked everything from forgetting the coffee we order and the milk for my tea to missing the bill for the couple we were with. It’s sad the service and food didn’t match. There are many places to visit so I probably wouldn’t visit this one again.
This is one of my favorite pastry shop and the recent addition of a new pastry display case has improved the quality and freshness of the Opera cake one of my favorites. Staff could be a bit friendlier even if many customers are not fluent in Spanish. We saw they opened a new location in San Antonio and will certainly visit as it is closer to home. Marulier even with such difficult name to pronounce is clearly making a name for itself. (Pun intended).
A friend treated us to a tiramisu. It was delectable. Absolutely perfectly balanced.. not too wet. Not to sweet. My tastebuds are happy!!!
We love pastries and this place has the best pastries we had in San Miguel de Allende. The almond croissant is my favorite, freshly baked, the baguettes better than France and good fast service
