"Hidden away on the corner of Rich Lane sits this bar come coffee shop. The barista seemed pretty passionate about his brews so he gave me a double shot in a small cup which hit the mark for me. Very smooth earthy flavors no bitterness."

"We totally enjoyed the whole experience (again and the scallops were amazing, practically liquefied in the mouth. Your staff were exceptional and sweet. Big thanks for altering the dishes slightly to cater to my wife 's prawn allergy, thoughtful and appreciated. We 're very fortunate to have you a ten minute walk down the hill (hour to walk home : You 've nailed unpretentious fine dining. Thanks again and see you soon. Dan and Hel Dietary restrictions: They kindly substituted 'one ' wonton to cater to my wife prawn allergy. We actually didn 't ask but did discuss with the waiter what dishes in the banquet had prawn...and that was their response. Very considerate."

"We have mixed feelings about this place. It looked so promising... We started off great the meatballs were delicious, as were the croquettes. However, the brisket (which was apparently sous vide? was so tough that when I tried to cut it with my knife, I thought that I was holding my knife upside down. The beans that came with it and the potato dish also lacked flavour. The worst thing really was the meat though. We were expecting super soft/can cut it with a fork meat with smoky bbq flavours. The smoky bbq flavours were there, but we felt it was not cooked well. The other thing was the dessert. It was called a churros, but it tasted like very soft and moist French toast (aka eggy bread . I mean, it tasted nice but I have never had a churros like that before... So maybe it shouldn't be called a churros."

"Gahhh everything here is SO bloody YUM! The ribs just fall off the bone and some of the flavours (Bourbon Lamb Ribs, we're looking a you) will knock your socks off. Definitely give the combos a good look, they're great value and a fun way to try a few different dishes. Love their American beer selection as well. Hands down our favourite rib joint in Brisbane!"

"Musings on @detourrestaurant This place has been on my hitlist for a little while now, with a menu full of unique dishes (both herbivore and omnivore) designed to be shared, this place is exceptional. On this occasion, we had the Emu Tartare with Burnt Shallot, Chilli and Yolk. A robust dish, with the Shallot balancing nicely with the Emu and richness of the yolks. Next up was the Coal Roasted Broccoli with Miso, Spinach, Seaweed, Quinoa. While this was my least favourite dish, it was still terrific. "Amazing food. Super friendly staff. Huge servings. You can smell the place before you even get there. Icing on the cake as we were leaving we found puppy parking out front with a water dish it’s a nice little touch that you don’t see anywhere anymore. Well worth the hour and a half drive"

"We booked in advance and were reassured could get a table to allow privacy for breastfeeding. Arrived and were allocated a table then female manager came over, wanting to move us and said we couldn’t have the table. We booked for dinner at and the restaurant was empty and the manager said it was “fully booked”. We just left and went somewhere else. Total disgrace of a place!
