This place has clearly changed management and the current menu does not reflect what had made it so successful in the previous years. I have been there a few nights ago and was very disappointed. The environment is still very nice, also good music and the service is Ok. However on the whole the menu is too pretentious and overpriced. I am not sure I will go back again. View all feedback.
We have been always coming to this restaurant since 2013 and the quality of food, portion size and their paella were amazing. This year we arrived to the restaurant and were told about the new management. Surprisingly, we found restaurant totally empty and just with our table. The atmosphere was nice, however I would hardly call the restaurant ‘a fine dining place’. First of all, there is no paella anymore but a totally different menu that is a total failure. Any of their salads or appetizers did not sound appealing and wouldn’t worth 16€. Moreover, our polpo for $27€ arrived an hour later with a disappointing amount of vegetables and a little piece of octopus. It was a total rip-off and wouldn’t worth spending so much for an octopus or a basic fish for 2 for $52€. Service was just OK, we would definitely expect a neater looking waitress. Lastly, espresso had a very low quality and their ‘rosemary’ tea had a non-sense taste. Posing as a fine dine restaurant it is very far from being it. We left hungry and disappointed!
We were hoping that under new management this restaurant would be great. Sadly not. Firstly the kids' pasta one had a piece of foil in it, which son was about to swallow (in fairness they did deduct 1 pasta from the bill) the other's had cheese on when he specifically said no cheese. 55 minutes later, our meals arrived. (That was our mistake according to the manager, she did advise we order a starter) My fish was whole, with head on and every mouthful had several bones in. So salty I couldn't and didn't eat it. Veg on a separate plate was undercooked and heavy on the butter/oil. No finesse certainly not a €25 main meal presentation. The charming manager explained this is the style of the cuisine and it's fashionable to serve raw/crunchy veg and rustic food, ie: just a piece of meat on a plate! For an expensive restaurant we expected more. Staff also extremely thin on the ground with just 1 waitress. We were so hungry when we left. Not one for us.
Fuimos en familia porque nos pillaba de paso para ver esas estupendas puestas de sol, y disfrutamos de buena comida y un muy buen ambiente. Para mi destacar ese plato de pimiento con huevo, delicioso!! We went as a family because we were passing by to see those great sunsets, and we enjoyed good food and a very good atmosphere. For my highlight that dish of pepper with egg, delicious!
Tucked away we found this little gem by accident. Service was impeccable and the food was some of the best we have ever had.
Lugar para comer en su visita a “cala conte” lo mejor de la zona, calidad/precio y tranquilidad. 800 metros de las calas. tratamiento muy personal y muy poco área masificada.
