"We were immediately seated with our open table reservation. The food offerings were high quality, with great selection, in a "Waldorf Astoria" setting of elegance. The staff was very personable. In the serving line , I had asked for sugar free syrup, but they said they didn't have any. (odd I thought), so I mentioned it to my server, who promptly smiled and said, ah but I do! and went and brought back a small cup of s/f syrup. I will be going back for my husband's conference in May (coincidentally at the same hotel) and I will definitely be making a reservation...I think I'll do that right now before I forget...."

"Absolutely love this place, although it has changed over the years to a more concentrated and faster experience? makes it perfect for those who want very high quality fast. Hot breakfast, fantastic pizza made to order, curated wine selection and on and on. This is not the place for those looking for cheep groceries. We go every other day when cooking in highlands instead of home when we're not out. Very recommended"

"Outstanding food and service! Decor is a little wonky and weird and doesn’t seem to represent the sophisticated cuisine, but would certainly not keep us from returning. The outside space looked inviting but had not yet opened for the season when we were there. We will definitely be back!"

"We had two wonderful days at the Greystone. We ate breakfast and dinner each day. I have a feeling they were short staffed but you’d never know it. The food was excellent and comes out spectacularly fast, the service spot on and the ambiance lovely. We had one of the most memorable desserts: ever. Carrot cake sitting in a pool of salted caramel sauce with house made candied/sugared orange peel on top: oh my…..Delicious!"

"Excellent food, good service, pleasant atmosphere, not tourist friendly. In October 2021, not knowing much about the Wild Thyme, we went to dinner on a Monday when most restaurants in the area were closed. When my girlfriend asked a few questions about the location and parking of the restaurant, the lady on the phone was a little short with her and did not answer her question. That's why I wouldn't consider this restaurant friendly. However, we found the restaurant and were not disappointed with the experience. The Maple Brie appetizer was particularly good, as the shrimp and scallop escaped my girlfriend. The goat cheese, cranberry and walnut salad was also particularly good. The pan seared WNC Mountain Trout was the best trout dish I had. I love it! The cook made an excellent low-carb version by subbing spinach and asparagus for the Polnta. A friend had the Portobello Mushroom Napoleon, which she thought was well prepared, but to soup for her taste. The sections were appropriate. Our server, Dolledon, was knowledgeable, friendly and professional. I thought the prices were fair. Most Menu Entree items were between $25 and $35 with a few more expensive. They offer interior and exterior seats. I'd come back. We returned in July 2022. The food was as good as we remember last October. We found the hostess and staff very friendly, efficient and accommodating. I had Bacon Wrapped Quail, and my girlfriend had the Veal Chop Entree (the special one this day), We enjoyed our entrees. My girlfriend had coconut cake for dessert, which she described as the best she had."
