"Monieux is a picture perfect old village off the beaten path and Restaurant Les Lavandes is the only place to eat in town. The restaurant spills out onto the "square" near the stature of La Nesque. All of the tables were full during our recent visit with a mix of locals and tourists. Our 3 course prix fixe menu featured fresh seasonal produce, duck and a fish "substitute" for a vegetarian guest. Each dish was beautifully presented and very well prepared. Service was attentive and professional. I recommend that smoking NOT be allowed on the terrace as the smell of cigarettes doesn't enhance the flavor or taste of the otherwise delicious food. Well worth the drive, especially when the lavender is in bloom."

"What a beautiful address! We live at 1h45 in St Trinit and yet we come regularly to lunch or dinner at the bistrot. Chef's cuisine is excellent and generous, tastes are there, basic products are excellent quality. And the welcome is so warm and friendly. I recommend!"
