The lodge is a wonderful place to stay with incredible views of the Golden Gate Bridge. If you want a unique experience that's still close to San Francisco, this is the ideal location. The staff were exceptional, friendly, and very professional. Both restaurants onsite are great. What Mike MacCana doesn't like about Cavallo Point Lodge:
Front desk days they don’t have per-room HVAC, so when it’s cold in your room, which is often, there’s no way to increase the heat without increasing the temp in all the rooms (which the hotel won’t do). I have no idea why someone would build a hotel this way. There is a small fireplace in the room but it will take hours to heat a large space, the only way you can get warm is stand in front of it.
