"What can I say, fantastic we booked for Sunday dinner as we were a week in the opposite. the food was divine and the staff was friendly and very helpful. we have also booked for our high-time meal, chips were from this world, never eaten chips like they before, nice. We went a third time to a meal before we came home, what can I say was not disappointed. we will come back in every case next year. well made to all the workers, it was a pleasure, and the poor cook in this heat, they have made a great job."

"A few weeks ago in staithes and went to the hill to get fish and chips on the first night. a lively little place. it was amazingly clean and we all agreed that it was the best fishing and chips of all time. the service was in front of place! the beautiful dame that served me and then my sohn (as I missed some chips of order) was fantastic and the young boys sort the commands that we do a great work. well made for providing such good service and eating"

"Maybe the best round food I ever had, I had the huh, pesto and mozzarella panini, after eating a panini for the whole week in whitby, it came with the best salat and coleslaw I've ever had. sure to say it will be my going to cafe every time I'm on the way! can't wait to taste the breakfast before they go home tomorrow!"

"Returned to Ditto after they re opened as a restaurant again. We always thoroughly enjoyed our previous visits to this restaurant and was apprehensive as to whether the standard would be as good. No worries there it was excellent. Great 3 course menu at a reasonable price. Best place to eat in Whitby in my view if your a food lover!"

"Lovely little Inn ,amazing views and very friendly stuff....the breakfast was really rich ...walking distance from all the worth visiting locations in Whitby (Abbey,whalebone arch etc and min walk from the center) only stayed for one night but definitely would recommend for a nice city break"

"We waited over an hour for starters. 30 minutes after that, plates had not been cleared and no mains in sight so we left (along with several other tables from upstairs). Starters were average. Chicken in the wedges. Peas in the salad. Not food worthy of those prices."

"A great place to eat, small but cosy. The young lad that served us was absolutely brilliant ,if I could have given him more stars it would have been 10/10. My partner and I are both vegan,and knowing that they had vegan options,thought it would be perfect for a hot Sunday lunch on a cold day. The pie (wild mushroom and ale) was sublime,richly filled and pastry perfection. However, I just can't get my head round why they cannot put vegan mash with their vegan pies? You are only able to order pie and peas. If you are capable of making a vegan pie taste so delicious,then making vegan mash should be a walk in the park ? I get you must make a batch of regular mash, but surely some could be taken from that batch and finished with plant based butter and cream,as their are some excellent substitutes for butter and cream now. It did disappoint,it's a pie and mash cafe ? You can't have one without the other ,even though we had no choice today. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"
