"That was a pleasant surprise. does not expect much through the look from the outside, but inside it is cozy, beautifully decorated and gives an overall warm feeling. the fish meal I ate was delicious and beautifully decorated. "Wir waren beim Training des BVB in Bad Ragaz und haben uns für ein Mittagessen im Alten Torkel, Jenins, entschieden. Eine sehr gute Wahl. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen, mussten noch eine oder zwei Minuten warten und erhielten dann einen Tisch in der ersten Reihe auf der wunderschönen Sonnenterrasse. Einfach einmalig, dieser Ausblick ins Rheintal. Das Essen erstklassig. Die Steinpilzsuppe war eine der Besten, die ich je gegessen habe. Das Rindfleisch war zart, die Bechamelsauce perfekt und die Kartoffeln lecker. Für mich persönlich hätte das Fleisch noch etwas länger im Ofen sein können. Aber dies ist Geschmacksache. Zum Dessert dann noch einen gerührten, sämigen Eiskaffee. Auch der war ausgezeichnet. Der Hauswein konnte ebenfalls überzeugen, sollte er auch, denn wir sind hier in einer Weingegend. Diesen Betrieb kann ich nur weiterempfehlen, sei es im Restaurant oder bei schönem Wetter auf der einmaligen Terrasse. Kostenpflichtige Parkplätze gibt es genügend. Diese sind etwa 150 m vom Restaurant entfernt."
