"They are very friendly BUT we had to wait sooo long to get the food...we didn't even have drinks while waiting so that should be improvedThe food was very good and prices were very acceptable, considering the near position to Basel and the higher prices there.We will come back and expect that they have either more waiters or less people to serve as it is always packed, which seems to mean that it is a good place to eat.Also if you take away, you get a 10% discount"

"This place is great for both pizza and focaccia sandwiches. Very fresh ingredients, imaginative toppings, and nice people. There are only a couple of tables so I avoid the lunch crunch and many people do take away. This is one of my favorite places for...lunch in Basel. Dinner would be fine, but I usually go to a more sit down place for that."

"One word: Wow! You run through the picturesque village Bad Säckingen and look for the pleasure pharmacy. A bit hidden, in an inconspicuous commercial building, in fact in a former pharmacy, the pleasure team has created a place of a beautiful and cozy pub. When you open the door, you are suddenly in another ambience! Art on the walls, in style and design, in the kitchen as in the palate. Throughout the evening the rest falls on the team in the service as in the kitchen no hectic, no stress, easy time and tranquility. The team is very experienced and perfectly transports the ambience. You serve spice and potion with wine pairing and know perfectly what you are talking about from your own experience. I have never been able to enjoy 13 courses of highest culinary delights with 9 different wines (small portion, which were in perfect harmony and all of them also corresponded to my taste, no wild experiments, much local knowledge, much experience that makes the magic of this enjoyment pharmacy. At this point I would have to forgive 6* or in Gault Milau 18 (the place has 16! . Our expectations were far exceeded, a great thank you to the entire team for this culinary journey simply by A Z!"

"We are fairly frequent visitors to Basel in order to visit our daughter, who has lived and worked in this lovely city for about 6 years. After a long delay due to COVID, we have returned this week to celebrate her 30th birthday. We always...stay at the Les Troia Rois, which is always top flight, and is again. We also always have at least one dinner meal each visit at Cheval Blanc and the magic of Peter Knogl. We had a magnificent dinner for four last night, topped by the saddle of venison (mousse line of celery and sauce rouennaise), sea bass with chorizo and cucumber, and lagoustine and in a light curry and green apple sauce with paired wines. It was a fabulous celebration of our daughter’s birthday and Peter Knogl’s “greatest joy [in] pampering our guests with a cuisine full of color, shape and sunshine.” Such an incredible four hour extravaganza is not cheap, but one doesn’t often find restaurants with 3 Michelin stars and 19 GaultMillau points that are not worth the cost. Cheval Blanc is a relatively small restaurant but gorgeous in decor and a priceless Rhine River view. The service is spectacular, good humored, but serious in its quest for excellence and guest comfort and information. A special ending is a humidor of choice, and immensely fine Swiss chocolates."

"There's the word game, hikers come to Sparta. I simply formulate it! Wanderer, you come to the Wiesental, then in beautiful weather it is worth a ride to the old Markgrafenstadt Schopfheim to relax in the Gasthaus Sternen. One of the most beautiful gardens in the area is rewarded at the beginning. An old platan spreads her green over beautiful wooden tables and chairs, the floor is covered with fine gravel, which I personally love. At sunshine, it automatically adjusts itself to a holiday feeling. To the map. Thus, a card must be from my point of view, not endless leaves is indicated here. There is always a selection of food, a day menu, you will find what you want. Of course I enjoyed all the dishes. In particular, I would like to highlight 3 dishes: the Argentine steak with crisp season salad, the pork medals on a pepper sauce with late zle and who likes calf liver with roast, will discover a new benchmark here! My resummée, it's all right, fresh, honest kitchen. The salads are crunchy fresh, the meat tender, medium, medium rare, as you want. In addition, very pleasant in our region, instead of an all-world beer from Bavaria, here you get Lasser beer, regional, the yeast wheat of this brewery is simply superb. With me, dinner is for me relaxation, at the end always comes an expresso and, of course, a degisif, a baggage on top so that the circle can close. My recommendation, tready Grappa . , the boss, understands, with his cooking skills to meet the optimal balance, crisp cuisine, fresh, seasonal refined, the whole at fair prices. What is an economy without a top waiter, one that delegates the restaurant orchestra with its helpers for the well-being of the guests? In the stars this is the one, for me one of the best of his guild, always friendly, always fully engaged. If they are satisfied in the stars, they do not forget to appreciate your satisfaction with a good tip for the team. Appendix: In beautiful weather you should reserve a table! Parking is in front of the restaurant and nearby. Of course you can also eat in the stars inside, but the highlight lies below the old Platane!"
