I wouldn't say the greatest service ever but the food made up for that. Some of the best fried chicken I've had in a long time. Sides were great as well. There was a buffet option for around $17. The other side of the restaurant was a store and also sold bread and some pastries. Good place to stop when passing through View all feedback.

What a TERRIBLE breakfast . The sausage tasted like game meat. Everything was old and tough . The service wasn't bad , pretty friendly . The place looks amazing and has many cool rooms to eat . The lunch didn't look bad but I didn't stick around to see . View all feedback.

Over priced, luke warm food and the bbq beef was dry....couldn't eat most of it. Waste of time.

"We were visiting family in Flatonia and returned to The Red Vault several times as the food was incredible. Lunch: For appetizers we ordered bruschetta and a caprese salad. The tomatoes were fresh and tasty, and the mozzarella was authentic. I ordered the steak burger medium rare. It honestly was one of the best burgers I've ever had. It was juicy, came on a croissant bun with gouda cheese, avocado, lettuce tomato and a side of fries. The fried chicken was full of flavor and had plenty of meat on the bones. Dinner: My boyfriend ordered the grilled lamb. It was well worth the price. It was full of flavor, served with a garlic basil butter, a side of mashed potatoes and veggies. I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass. It came with a delicious sauce that didn't overpower it's soft texture and great taste. Dessert: Slice of dark chocolate cake with raspberry sauce and a lava cake. Both were amazing but the dark chocolate cake was my favorite, especially when paired with a red wine. They have an astounding selection of wines. If you're not sure of what to get, the owner Gabriel is a sommelier who can make a suggestion. They also have a good variety of beers. We can?t wait to be back next year!"

"My first visit here and I love this place. As soon as you walk in you can feel the ambiance and coziness. I ordered the Greek Chicken Tzatziki Salad and it was absolutely delicious. "The best food in the area. The atmosphere is so welcoming and the wait staff is quick and super friendly. We ordered the queso and fajitas and it was phenomenal! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great spot to eat!"

"I have been eating here regularly for the past 15 years, traveling between Houston and San Antonio, stopping on many different days. Pretty much the same friendly wait staff over the years. I have never ordered off the menu, because if you love home style cooked food I recommend the buffet. They typically have chicken noddle soup, fried chicken, ribs, sausage, roast beef, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes and an assortment of vegetables and goulashes, not the same menu every day though. The buffet food is cooked in a Czech/German style which I love. I guess I have eaten of the menu when my kids have order chicken strips and french fries and I steal a few those. Give it a try."

"I?m from this small town,grew up here and I stopped to get food and this restaurant staff is very selective on who they serve first. The food is good but the servers aren?t! Very slow service. We waited almost 10 minutes to get our drinks before myhusband went to the bar to order and then they come out and ask what we wanted to drink or take our order after they took ordersfrom people that came in after us. Just looked at us like we were sitting there for fun. They served three tables before theycame to see if we needed a refill on our drinks or if we needed anything else. VERY DISAPPOINTED in this place! Rodriguez"
