Potato aioli so basic and yet so delicious! Absolute must have here Fried anchovies not too much coating, not too oily. Just the bare minimum to offer the nearest authentic taste of the fish Fried chicken pretty good, but could be skipped for all the other great dishes Loin with whisky fantastic dish. It’s a slice of pork with steamed garlic on top that is simply a delicious combination. The name of the dish is weird, but the taste is phenomenal Spinach tapas strange to have a spinach only dish, but it’s actually pretty good for such a healthy snack Paella this one is avoidable. Possibly the authentic Sevilla style, but was a bit too bland for us
Exquisitely traditional no-frills Spanish fare. Friendly and supportive service. No English spoken so do your Spanish course. Good wine reasonably priced. The square has a decided lived-in air which is a relief from the tourist awfulness just down the road. Nearly all Spanish clientele. Been here since about 1980 or earlier (memories are vague). Been eating Spanish food in Spain since before I can remember and this is the best tortilla and calamares I’ve ever had. The albondigas (meatballs) are also excellent.
Excellent bar, great for tapas and drinks. Always busy, with mainly locals, always a good sign. We did have to wait once for a table, but it was worth the short wait. Staff have limited English but are very tolerant and helpful. A great experience, we used the bar on several occasions.
