"The flavours of the Coppers dishes are always complex and delicious, and their vegan options are never run of the mill they definitely put the effort in and you can tell they're really passionate about creating exciting and tasty vegan options. Favourites from their past set menus include lentil balls in a yoghurt sauce (dahi vada) and sweetcorn and pepper kebab (makai mirchi kebab). The a la carte menu includes plenty of vegan options, but be sure to specify vegan when ordering naan bread so they can make a dairy free version. Staff go above and beyond, at our most recent visit we were celebrating a birthday and they brought out some delicious lentil dumplings between courses and a chocolate brownie with a candle for the birthday guest (a non vegan, so I assume the brownie had dairy). "I can safely say, without fear of contradiction, that this was the single best hot chocolate i have ever tasted. My 70% Sao Tome dark chocolate was delicious but the 34% milk chocolate drink was rich and sweet and tasted of butter and hazelnuts made my mouth sing and my head swim with joy. What a lucky discovery. I will have no choice but to drive back to Rye soon to have another cup!"

"What a disappointment, we drove passed and decided to sit and dine, from the beginning the service was shocking, no drink orders taken for 15 minutes and 20 minutes before any food order was taken, after asking 3 times, was strange as there were only 3 tables that were taken at the time, even the young gentleman who kept passing up and down in between tables, his communication was terrible, all the chicken tikka starter was rubbery and cold and had to be sent back and the mains lacked flavour and were warm, like that had been sitting on the side for some time, it says it all when the best part of the meal was the garlic naan even that was bang average we decided to inform the “manager/owner” of the unpleasant meal and he just laughed it off and said there were very busy!"

"The flat breads are absolutely incredible. The team there has put together a new feeling dish, I tried the slow cooked lamb and was blown away. Learnt that they use live yeast in the making of the flatbreads and cook them in their pizza over. The texture was like a doughnut, covered in savoury sweet juices of the lamb. It's a seriously amazing dish!"
