nice local in very promising area,the personal is nice and the prices are normal,at any rate a revere value

the location of the hut is unique. to the hütte leads mostly a wide forest road, only the last 15 min have to be walked over a steep walkway. we were with shoes...

a great house the bockhartsee hütte. refurbished. the hostess alexandra more than friendly (thanks to many) . class hiking tip, which saved us a lot around and...

"The cafe is located at the north side of Bad Hofgastein where the location can be also reached by walking upto the hill. There is an amazing view where you can also get a little bit warm with sunbathing.The menu includes local desert tastes and typical coffee selections. I recommend to the couples without children for a silent break."

"This is an out of the way place with a very unique character and excellent atypical Austrian cuisine. they also broke their own beer, which was good. eating was a unique absorption of Austrian food, cooked on an open fire with the old technology....You even have a load where they sell organic products they make. it was fantastic and a welcome change. the server was very nice, friendly and competent, and the prices were moderate. the portions were generous and the ingredients were fresh. in any case worth a trip. it is small, so reserve. jack from prag"

"We stopped here on our way up the waterfall walk, and were not disappointed. The cafe is set slightly above the town and has beautiful views over the town and valley. Having read previous reviews, we ordered the Heidelbeertopfenstrudel and Heidelbeermilch. It was perhaps the best Topfenstrudel we've ever had. Each piece was absolutely huge and could easily have fed 2 people, and it only cost 2,70€. The Heidelbeermilch was also great.The only disappointment was the radio playing Austrian 'pop' music out on the terrace, which kind of spoiled the otherwise peaceful atmosphere. Will definitely visit again."
