"We called to book at this restaurant and the staff let us know they were booked for the evening. We were tired and hungry from a long day of travel and touring, and I asked them for walk in recommendations, which they kindly provided. While I was looking into those options, the staff at Red Skye called back and had a cancellation. We hurried over and were warmly greeted by the two kindest servers we've ever encountered. We enjoyed appetizers of scallops and cullen skink soup, then main courses of Langoustines and Mushroom Risotto. My husband and I shared all of the dishes, and topped the meal off with a rhubarb/berry crumble with vanilla ice cream. The servers also provided friendly conversation and assisted us in the best route to our next stop. By far, one of the best meals and definitely the kindest, most fun staff of any restaurants we dined in. Highly recommend, but book ahead!"

"Stranded in Mallaig, waiting for our train connection. Good quality fish, daily catch! You have a lot of options to choose from. Be aware that all restaurants in Mallaig can be filled up quickly when trains arrive. Luckily this place is open during the day! "There are deli, seafood, fish and chips, and the award-winning potato seafood chowder. The food is very delicious, the seafood is very fresh, and the fish and chips are generous. In addition, fresh seafood can be purchased, and many locals come to buy seafood. The soup is highly recommended."

"I believe the previous reviews relate to the restaurant operated by previous owners. Now it is run by a Scots/Spanish couple and the food is mainly Spanish. They had 2 vegetarian appetizers and a vegetarian main dish on the menu and all these were or could be made vegan (they understand vegan). The food was excellent. The disadvantage: The smell of seafood is quite strong at this point."

"We were one night in our residential property in the parking space in exchange for a meal and some drinks. good quality le on offer we both dedicated the huge fish chips. I had hoped that there would be more seafood in the offer, as it means that it is a seafood restaurant. they were however fish chips or lobster dick. that is, the fish and chips were absolutely delicious. portions were so big, but I couldn't enjoy pudding. we were very welcome to let dogs in. very good!"

"With friends who were before. the restaurant is small with maybe 30 covers and was full in the night when I left. had the steak that was as delicate as butter cut. I thought the prizes were pretty reasonable considering everything was going on. small wine list, but sufficient. I liked the use of kegs as decoration, a nice note. a pleasant evening all around."
