"We try to get here for lunch most days when we are in Obergurgl. The groestl and the burgers are good , but the Rippschen is a classic and not to be missed"

"Yes. We visit this place every time we are around for skiing. After seven years, we could not find so many good options here, but this is definitively among the best.Typical Austrian food, good quality, generous dishes, nice place & atmosphere, friendly family, value for money. Bringing the negatives I should say , that they are not that good at organizing. Quite often we have to wait for a while before getting our table, despite having booked in advance. Last time we were there (this week), although they kept us waiting 15 minutes after our booked time, in the end they did not let us order our favorite dessert because it was too late (!). Uhhm , not very clever from their side & a bit unfair, are they? . We'll come back anyway."

"Sölden area in low season is a pretty depressing place culinary-wise . Everything is closed and self catering seems to be the best solution... But if you are fed up with sandwiches and cold cuts- well, you can always go there. My opinion may be a...little biased as I was hungry and longing for a plate of warm food.. first of all, they seem to carry just a few 'local ' choices. Grilled, fried and boiled meat is dominant in their menu. It wasn 't bad, but nothing to remember either. Also a little pricey for the quality they offer (corn on the cob was not edible- seemed warmed up for umpteenth time). Overall good place if you are starving and not on a budget."

"After a short journey up from the main street by funicular your ears pick up on the thumping music emitting from Philipp Bar. Once inside (or outside on the terrace) service was prompt and, when ordering certain shots, very theatrical !!! The only downside, when you’re no longer accustomed to it, was the excessive cigarette smoke."
