We stopped in the Red Viking for dinner and our food was delicious. The salad was a mix of fresh dark greens .and the Italian dressing was homemade and delicious.We had the Captains Seafood Platter with fries and Cole slaw and the portions were good sized and it was delicious. What User doesn't like about Red Viking:
friendly staff, nice location. I had danish wurst (mediener) and æbleskiver and open sandwich with rullepølse, the eating looks nice and there was a lot of it, but I wish they would put as much up in the broth as they do with the cold cuts. the brot was a bit on the dry side, I think it is only outside of Denmark that medister and æbleskiver ends as a Danish tradition, but it was interesting to try it. Just a tad too much dressing on my order. Also, I asked for the disguise on the side to avoid this and they do not follow these directions.

"Very cozy romantic place with minimum amount of tables. Food was perfectly cooked and paced nicely throughout the dinner. Dinner is not rushed. Service was very attentive and friendly. One very elderly lady was dining alone and they brought out a pillow for her back since the chairs are straight backed. Even the acknowledgement of a special occasion was very low key and much like you would find in a European restaurant. Reservations are definitely recommended."
