"So sweet place with a very cozy and earthy atmosphere. coffee cake really came out fast and waitress was very friendly. chai cake was unusual (a lot less sweet than they expect, in any case tasted healthy, but tasty, and my decaf latte was excellent not too hot, so it 't bitter, beautiful and strong, good taste and not too thick/thin texture wise. not too much sitting opportunity, but it would be worth waiting for a table to be free!"

"Immediate friendly welcome. Traditional country pub with an additional airy light filled oak framed dining room extension. Choice of either, so chose the dining room. Drinks arrived quickly and a little longer a wait for mains and dessert. Popular and busy at lunchtime so probably the reason, however, so worth it. Food was delicious. Portion sizes adequate however if you like more mashed potatoes or chips/ roast potatoes possibly be wise to order additional sides. More than adequate for lunchtime, especially as we couldn’t resist dessert! The lunch menu advertised on their website isn’t the current one but from the month of May. In fact we preferred what was on today’s menu!! 2 courses mains and desserts 2 drinks cost £58. Would certainly return when next in the area and would recommend. Well done to the whole team!"

"Riverford has been on my list for many years. We had a weeks holiday in South Devon and had our last lunch there. Five plus a baby. It was worth the long wait. Great staff, lovely wholesome, flavourful food and good drinks list. The whole family thought it was excellent value as well."

"We visited the Old Bakery for the first time having been recommended to do so by our host, we really enjoyed the whole experience, from the moment we arrived the staff were very welcoming as this was our first visit the waiter carefully explained the...ordering process along with the various choices available, which was really helpful All the six choices we had made were served together which enabled us to mix and match the various dishes all of which was more than enough for the two of us, after starting with a selection of Old Bakery Breads, nothing was to much trouble for the welcoming staff. We will most certainly look forward to visiting again when we next visit Kingsbridge"
