"So sweet place with a very cozy and earthy atmosphere. coffee cake really came out fast and waitress was very friendly. chai cake was unusual (a lot less sweet than they expect, in any case tasted healthy, but tasty, and my decaf latte was excellent not too hot, so it 't bitter, beautiful and strong, good taste and not too thick/thin texture wise. not too much sitting opportunity, but it would be worth waiting for a table to be free!"

"Oh no, they've completely ruined what was a really atmospheric pub and turned it into a tacky themed pub. What a shame. Lots of cheap and nasty furnishings already looking a bit worn and no woodburner or cosiness. Will not be returning to what used to be a little gem."

"Me and my niece had gone up to get our usual curry’s that we normally had on Sunday 8th. Now I’m terminally I’ll having brain cancer so my memory isn’t great and I can never remember what the curry is I order now I knew it has king prawns in and has a red sauce, after a little while trying to explain to the man behind the counter he said he reckons it is probably king prawn Massala which again as I can’t remember and normally go with what they think it is and I’ve enjoyed it every time I’ve had it. Well let’s put it this way it wasn’t my usual one I normally enjoy, the tails were still on which I wasn’t warned about the heat was fine as I don’t like my curry too hot as it takes away the flavour of the curry I find. As soon as I finished I felt sick and my stomach was doing somersaults I hate complaining but in my head I feel that if I wasn’t to say anything someone else might go through the same and I’m still feeling yucky and have no energy at all. I hope this helps someone who’s wanting to eat from here.I won’t be recommending them as I live above the old smithy and always send customers up there for a great curry"

"We visited for lunch and to shop in farm shop. Shared a crab sandwich which was lovely. Whilst eating I remembered that I had read that we could have 10% off our bill if we showed our keyfob for the holiday let we were staying in, we were told we were mistaken, on getting back to our apartment we were right, the staff need to be informed."

"Excellent location for early supper in a beautiful setting overlooking the Yealm estuary at Noss Mayo. Service was swift and attentive and food delicious; we all had three courses and enjoyed it all. Great value for money and we we will definitely return. Fortunate to have a window seat in the covered outdoor dining area with a fantastic view and protection from the gale force winds."
