This traditional country pub offers a warm welcome and is full of character and charm. They serve well-kept ale and a good selection of other drinks. The food is good, honest, hearty grub with generous portions. I enjoyed a homemade lasagne with chips, carrots, and peas, while my companion had gammon, egg, and chips with peas. We decided to pop into this pub as a family for a social drink. The service was good friendly plus the beer was lovely. Unfortunately we decided to stay for dinner, the service was still as good as before but the food quality was not so. I would recommend this pub for a social drink but not for food. View all feedback.
