They were kind enough to book us a table as we were having a long walk with the dog . It's just a town centre pub but whoever cooks the food does a great job , 4 meals all fully eaten and enjoyed . The drinks are ridiculously cheap . Its just over an hour from London and almost half price . Staff could not have been politer very characterful and made a right fuss of our dog , which he loved. Lack of real ale on tap to start. Ordered one starter and two mains. The starter came with the mains. The prawn cocktail was poor and my husband asked for no butter on the bread but got no bread at all.
