We dropped in here for our birthday meals as December sees both my wife and my birthdays.Again the Chequers delivered a wonderful meal and dining experience. We had the rib of beef and it was divine. Melt in your mouth meat, with proper, I mean, proper béarnaise sauce, obviously made from scratch.Good ale and wines made for a lovely lunch. read more.

we went to my birthday when it was a gastro-pub, sadly most people were it fish and chips, burgers and chips that should have been a warning for me. are deaf missing in the season and quite raw in the center. the bubbly faggot. was okay, but small and we left poor and hungry, we were very disappointed with eating, but the staff was pleasant and helpful. read more.
