"Absolutely delightful place! The food was delicious, we had nachos (huge portion), meat skewers, gambas, calamari, quesadillas and lamb burgers. All of it was amazing, each dish as good as the next, excellent portion sizes and very reasonably priced. We had a lovely waiter, a...young lad, who was very attentive and friendly. Next time we're in Kendal, we'll be back! Thank you!"

"Live in Windermere would say over the years I have been to most places for afternoon tea . Cedar manor however was quite possibly THE best . Little soup to start , then mini quiche with salad , chilled beautiful sandwiches , warm scones delicious cakes . It was absolutely perfect . Even the cup of tea was sensational . It’s 5 stars from me . Would definitely recommend will definitely be returning . Loved it ."

"Bought pies, salads, porridge and chocolate to take back to rental cottage. Absolutely wonderful food actually nicer than the eye watering costly meal we'd had out in Grasmere the day before and for a fraction of the price. Pies were Lancashire cheese and onion and the Dhal Gobi. Delicious. The owners were lovely too even though my attempts at the self serve bit were poor. And the chocolate selection wow. You will definitely turn your nose up at the overpriced, sugar laden stuff sold elsewhere in Ambleside after eating the brands they stock. Not cheap but actually worth every penny. You get what you pay for and this place stocks healthy,tasty fuel not calorific rubbish."

"One of the best curries I've ever had. the reviews looked, so I thought I would go a bit further from where we stopped to try a takeaway curry. five of us ordered appetizers, netzen, side and rice/naan and all were on a very high standard everyone loved their food. fresh, amazing quality products, generous portions, good selection (I am vegetarian) and very cheap for what we have. not greasy and all dishes tasted differently than many curry houses. political staff. would like to recommend to everyone in the opposite. it was so delicious I had no time / forget to make any photos!"
