Their specials board features a variety of dishes such as soup, burgers, and quiche. The broccoli and speck soup was full of flavor and the wild boar and apple burger were both delicious. The trout was so good that the table next to us ordered it too! The portions were good, although slightly overpriced, and the chips were described as amazing - crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The staff was attentive, fast, and very dog-friendly - even offering a bowl of water and a biscuit for our furry friends. Overall, Sheila's Cottage is a cozy spot with excellent service and tasty food that comes highly recommended for a pleasant dining experience in Ambleside.
