Original welcome wasn't the best when we entered we were told straight away that only bookings were being accepted. Instead of asking if we had booked. We were also asked what our name was when the person already knew it. Our actual server was very nice tho. The decor where we were seated was a bit tired and could do with freshening up. Beautiful roast; good value in beautiful environment. only grip was that the service was efficient, but it lacked warmth and finesse. the personal could feel them welcome!

Relaxing location, very good food and friendly service. ideal for small family birthday together. never disappointed in the hawes inn and for many years.
