"There were just a handful of diners for our lunch time meal at the Clockspire which has a large open dining room. The cavernous space was cold and lacked atmosphere, exacerbated by so few fellow travellers. Staff were attentive without being intrusive. The kitchen offers fine dining and yet most of our dishes were over seasoned with salt very prominent. Portions were tiny and relatively expensive, as were wines. Overall the restaurant fails to offer value for money, and we are unlikely to return in the near future. "Came here for lunch today, waited over twenty minutes to be served, then told hot food was a twenty minute wait, I only wanted a toasted sandwich. The staff had a no care attitude, the tea was cold, when our lunch arrived, they only made one sandwich, when I asked where the other sandwich was, she said it’s on its ways, she never came back and the other sandwich never materialised, I got up and left. I have been here a few times recently as I work in Yeovil and each time there has been an issue and it’s always chaotic, lacks leadership and organisation , needs a good manager in there and some staff that like there job. I will not be returning anytime soon."
