"We visited the North East for the first time in 4 years, and the first thing we did was drive straight to Colmans for Fish Chips! My family have been looking forward to visiting Colmans ever since our last pre-Covid visit. My late father introduced me to Colmans many years ago, and now no visit to the North East is complete without a visit to Colmans Fish Chips. Maria and her wonderful team are very friendly, welcoming and attentive, the restaurant is spotlessly clean, and the food is OUTSTANDING. Wild, fresh fish caught locally, cooked to perfection, and absolutely the best chips you could eat. I have travelled worldwide, and tried Fish Chips in many restaurants in many countries, (including Gordon Ramsays British Restaurant in Macau), but I can say with 100% honesty that Colmans is the best.....by a long way. We made time to visit twice during our one-week visit, they are that good. My family are already looking forward to visiting the North East again, and of course Colmans Fish Chips will be on the top of our 'to do ' list! Thank you Maria and all the team."

"Lovely little cafe. Lots of choice for eat in or take away. Plenty tables. Parking directly outside. We had scrambled egg toast and a full breakfast. Really tasty. Very large portion. Great value for money. Nice ambience. Lovely little team serving. Beth the lady running it was very professional and full of knowledge. Turns out she also does outside catering for events. Which I will definitely look in to with her. Even brought some cakes home with us. Totally enjoyable trip out to a great little place which we definitely will be back"

"Slightly late opening but well worth the few minutes wait. Colourful, casual style restaurant. Super attentive, friendly staff, great atmosphere, great music. 5 different meals, all thoroughly enjoyed even tried a Peruvian cocktail. If you fancy a change from your usual food choices it’s definitely worth a visit."

"For my birthday this year my dad treated me to afternoon tea with my sister, 2 nephews and niece. It was lovely. After arriving at the White Swan centre it doesn't look like there is anywhere from the outside. But once you are in the room it is lovely. The afternoon tea was so lovely and the china cups added that little extra. I will be back. Thanx"
