My daughter rang and suggested going for a coffee out of the blue. Ever eager to avoid chores I agreed and she took me to Ghiaccios which is in Harton Village on one of the main roads into South Shields. Although small inside and out it is immaculate. What McDougall1964 doesn't like about Ghiaccio Ice Cream Dessert Lounge:
Was given a voucher for Ghiaccio as a gift, and took a friend as a 'treat '. I was mortified! The produce served up almost certainly came from a nearby cheap frozen food shop there was certainly nothing that was home baked or luxurious. The voucher cost £19.95 for the two of us, but what we were given would barely have come to a £5 in total (and that includes the Prosecco). What an out and out rip off the owners shou...
