great local pub just fucked by a main street. large beer garden and under the cover smoker area. this pub has always a lot inside and really friendly staff. on Monday they have a biker night where the owner buys in pizza and snacks for biker and the re-election is always good! highly recommended when they are in watford, bricket wood or st albans. What User doesn't like about The Black Boy:
Popped in for a quick pint on way home, pub quite full but not packed only 1 person serving and she seemed more interested in chatting to the locals. Eventually I was served with a pint of Timothy Taylor's landlord, to be fare it tasted awful ,not as it should. Dirty pipes maybe. I only drank about a third of it before leaving,Won't be popping in again, shame as the beer is one of my favourites. View all feedback.
Visited for a few beers on a Saturday evening. An extremely handy location. A great range of ales with a well set out garden.
Keeps very good ales and clean pipes. Great if you want to catch up on all the sport and often has roasted spuds for punters on a saturday afternoon. Nice garde...
