The Hollybush - St Albans

I usually don't write reviews about eating because I have health problems and I haven't cooked anything at home for many years. tonight I made a chicken strip and chips basket brave and I'm so glad I was the most beautiful food I've eaten for a long time. we ordered by phone after talking with a beautiful herrn and it was freshly prepared in the last minute. the beautiful leave behind the bar was polite and brought our food, which was hot, the hew was moist and tender and the chips were just the right combination of crispy and fluffy. absolute heaven. my man also enjoyed his scampi and chips basket. we will definitely come back. x

This beautiful little old time pub with a fantastic atmosphere is amazing. the menu is diverse and if you have nothing else, try the sweet soup. it is really a gastronomic joy. well done to the owners and employees, they do an amazing work x

Amazing local pub with beautiful friendly local and nice friendly bar staff. gordon and his partner are so friendly and welcoming. the young man who serves the tables works very hard and is really sweet and friendly and has really beautiful manage. the laterne ale is really beautiful and is also really good value. the log fire is also very nice in winter and the beer garden is fab in summer. I love this pub and would recommend everyone.

Beautiful pub from the 17th century, good food and a beautiful garden.

I visited this restaurant while on a trip from Germany, and as someone originally from this area, I found the location charming and the food to be very good. However, the attention to detail in the men's restroom was lacking, which is a major hygiene concern. There were too many people gathering near the bar entrance, which gave off the impression of a crowded and noisy environment. Overall, I would rate my experience as 8/10.
