Contribute FeedbackThe local pub offers a mixed bag of experiences, with some praising the friendly staff, big portions, and good prices, while others highlight issues with the food quality and lack of atmosphere. The outdoor seating area is a hidden gem, perfect for enjoying delicious lunchtime food served in a basket. Some patrons rave about the small plates menu and incredible meals, while one visitor expresses gratitude for the exceptional help received during an unexpected car breakdown. Despite mixed reviews, the pub seems to have something for everyone, from tasty burgers to generous portions and a welcoming atmosphere worth experiencing.
Fantastic family run village pub with great selection of beers and fabulous menu. Recommend the tapas selections, sharing boards and there's usually something special on the specials
Stopped for lunch today. Loved the small plates menu. We had chilli and garlic prawns (comes with bread), duck spring rolls (comes with housing sauce), and crispy shredded chicken (comes with garlic mayo and a sweet chilli sauce) . All were lovely. I'm definitely going back.
We visited The Overdraught when staying nearby at Brickett Wood and not fancying the chain pub for food. They offered several home cooked meals, the two we had were excellent. The landlady was fantastic she never stopped and we were well looked after from the minute we walked in. The locals were all friendly and the pub has a great atmosphere, like all good community pubs should. Would recommend for food and a few beers. They had a cask ale on the hand pull and a selection of lagers and spirits as well.
Visited this olde worlds pub with friends on Friday we will all be back again soon. The food was delicious, the choice plentiful the portions substantial. We had main course, desserts a drink all for £20 a head. I am looking forward to returning trying the Sunday Roasts which are legendary.
We are so lucky that this our local! From the moment Donna and Alex took on The Overdraught we instantly felt welcome! We love it's rustic feel, the staff are always so friendly and you can guarantee that you'll make friends with the regulars! We come here for date nights, catch up with friends and family and most recently had our gender reveal party here which was really special. The choice of drinks is superb and the food is always delicious! Whether it be a basket meal, tapas, the specials board or Sunday roast you are guaranteed to be going home happy and full! 100% recommend this to anyone new passing through and have already raved about The Overdraught to our friends and family. Still absolutely superb and we have been coming here for the last 2 years!!
